Many spices with exotic flavours are also grown on the island such as cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric, vanilla and nutmeg. You will discover many flavours here, some of which are probably still unknown to you.

DAY 3- STONE TOWER (there are 2 different activities planned on day 3)
Duration: 6 – 8 hours
Departure: 9:00 a.m/ Return: End of the day
Between flavours, scents and history, the walk allows a beautiful immersion in the heart of the city and in Zanzibari culture: stroll through the narrow streets of sand and stone (some are more than 200 years old), where many mingle architectural inspirations, as evidenced by these old residences decorated with Arab or Indian doors in carved wood. You will visit the town’s main market where the island’s tropical fruits, vegetables, spices and fresh fish mingle on the stalls. You will also discover the Anglican Church of Christ built by Bishop Steers in 1873 on the site where slaves were once sold at auction…
Other visits on the program:
- House of Wonders, palace built in 1883 by the sultan of the island,
- Forodhani Gardens where you can enjoy the setting sun enjoying locally made dishes: the famous Zanzibar pizzas and barbecued seafood,
- Old Fort, built by the Portuguese, the oldest building on the island which also has a very rich history.
DAY 3- PRISON ISLAND
Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island, is the central islet of the three visible from Stone Town. Board a wooden motor boat for a crossing of around 30 minutes. The prison on this island was built in 1893 and was later used as a quarantine hospital. On the island you will come across giant turtles brought from the Seychelles by Sultan Said in the 1820s and you can also enjoy sunbathing by the beach on the island or discover the seabed with masks and snorkels.
Meal: All meals are included
Note: Please, take your swimsuit, beach shoes/sandals if needed.
DAY 4- SAFARI BLUE- Full Day
Departure: 7:45 a.m./ Return: end of the day
Discover Minai bay. After breakfast, we will drive to Fumba Village, south-west of Zanzibar where you will board a traditional boat with other travellers (capacity: 15 people) to discover the extraordinary conservation area that surrounds Minai Bay. You can swim between pristine white sandbanks, visit the islets and snorkel in the coral reefs. Your package includes the use of snorkelling equipment and meals on the boat (cold drinks, mineral water, seafood buffet lunch: grilled fish, sea cicadas and squid). Seasonal fruits will be served for dessert. When the tide is high, you can also explore the natural lagoon that surrounds the islet of Kwale and swim in the middle of this fabulous setting.
After the Tour you will be dropped back to the hotel
Meal: All meals are included
Note:
- Please, take your swimsuit, beach shoes/sandals if needed.
- You will have the option between having breakfast at the hotel or on the car.
DAY 5- SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS
Duration: 4-5 hours
Departure: 9:00 a.m/ Return: Afternoon
On the way to Kizimkazi, a small village on the southern tip of the island. We take you out to sea, with a small motor boat, to meet the wild dolphins which disturb the surface of the Kizimkazi canal. With mask and snorkel, you can swim alongside them if you’re lucky, they are very curious and attentive to newcomers! Note that the Kizimkazi dolphin is a wild species, but it is quite easy to find and observe them, local fishermen know their habits well. However, we cannot guarantee that they will be there when you go out..
